"Rent" and "[title of show]" in TxState Season!
Keep your eye on the Texas State Theater Department next year as its 2014-2015 season features two thought provoking comtemporary musicals!
"Rent" will once again pair me with Kaitlin Hopkins as her assistant director and also features Cassie Abate as choreographer. Auditions were stellar, and the amazing production design gets is edgy look from the lofts and street corners of downtown NYC.
"[titile of Show]" will be my 2nd year graduate directing project. Special thanks in advance goes to the season selection committee at TxState. Never before has a graduate student been given the reins of a musical!

[title of show] is a quirky one-act musical comedy. The show chronicles the true story of its own creation as an entry in the New York Musical Theatre Festival, and follows the struggles of the author, the composer/lyricist, and their two actress friends, during the initial creative period and the subsequent events leading to the Broadway production. [title of show] inspired a large following during its limited New York run, and poses questions (and answers) to topics like creative perseverance, the importance of commercial success, and artistic integrity.
